Balisy played in his first season of professional hockey this season with the St. John’s IceCaps of the AHL and tallied 44 points in 73 games including a team-high 21 goals and was second on the team in points.
Prior to joining the IceCaps, Balisy played four seasons with Western Michigan University of the NCAA and totaled 129 points in 161 games played. The California-native also played in the United States Development Program for both the U18 team and the Junior team in and 2009 and 2010, and he played on the 2009-10 USA U18 team at the World Juniors that same year.
