The Panthers’ 2015 Development Camp will begin on Monday, June 29th and run through Thursday, July 2nd according to press release from the team. This year’s development camp will be starting early compared to recent years and will seemingly include a on-ice skills competition in place of the usual intrasquad scrimmage.
The Panthers say they expect approximately 25 players to attend the camp including the first-round pick of this year’s draft which will take place starting on Friday at 7PM. Last year’s development camp was marked by first-overall pick Aaron Ekblad scoring his first goal in a Panthers jersey during the intrasquad scrimmage on the final day. The schedule is as follows:
Monday June 29 – On-ice session (11:00 AM-1:30 PM)
Tuesday, June 30 – Beach workout [AM] and community service event [PM] (No on-ice session)
Wednesday, July 1 – On-ice session (9:30 AM -11:00 AM)
Thursday, July 2 – On-ice skills competition (9:00 AM- 11:00 AM)
